From the Dispatch screen, in the upper Unassigned Calls section, locate the call you wish to Assign to the Driver/Truck combination.
Click the Actions icon (3 dots) on the left side of the screen to dispatch using a list of Drivers and Trucks.
Click the Map icon to dispatch using the map view.
Actions View for Dispatching - Select the Driver/Truck combination and click the blue arrow to Assign.
Map View
The Mapping view will highlight the location (Red Icon) and destination (Black Icon) of the call assuming the addresses geocoded when entered on the Call Screen. Trucks are only shown on the map if your company uses BudgetGPS for fleet tracking or if you are using another GPS platform which is integrated with BudgetGPS. Truck color coding matches the BudgetGPS Call Status color coding. (See Below)
Within the map view for dispatching, the user can select the Driver and Truck combination from the list and press the Assign button at the bottom right of the screen or by clicking the truck icon on the map and clicking Assign in the pop-up window.
Assigning the Call using the Truck Icon.
When using the map icons to assign the call, TOPS uses the Driver and Default Truck as represented on the Driver screen.
Adjusting the Pick-up location by moving the Red icon on the map.
The pick-up Location can be adjusted by moving the red location icon on the map. Moving the red icon only adjusts the Latitude and Longitude tied to the pick-up location and not the address as entered. When the user moves the icon, the Location Lat/long will change. The "Put back" will adjust the lat/long back to its original location.
Truck Icon Colors
Green = UnAssigned
Orange = Assigned/Dispatched/Acknowledged
Blue = Arrived
Black = Hooked
White = Off Duty
When the Call status is changed to Dropped, the Truck icon is changed to Green (unless the driver has another call assigned)
