This article will explain how to use Customer Locate to send a text to a customer to determine their location via the GPS location of their cell phone.
- Navigate to take a New Call and locate the Tow Location field > click on the compass rose icon
- In the modal window, enter the Customer's phone number and click 'Request Location' to send a text message to the Customer
- The Customer will receive a text that contains a link they will click on
Note: The Customer may need to allow 'www.towstatus.com' to use their location, per their settings on their phone browser - Once clicked, their current location will be geocoded(including their address and lat/lon details) and returned info back to TOPS
- If the info is acceptable, click the 'Keep Selected' button to populate that info into the appropriate fields
