Customer Locate

This article will explain how to use Customer Locate to send a text to a customer to determine their location via the GPS location of their cell phone.

  1. Navigate to take a New Call and locate the Tow Location field > click on the compass rose icon
  2. In the modal window, enter the Customer's phone number and click 'Request Location' to send a text message to the Customer
  3. The Customer will receive a text that contains a link they will click on
    Note: The Customer may need to allow 'www.towstatus.com' to use their location, per their settings on their phone browser
  4. Once clicked, their current location will be geocoded(including their address and lat/lon details) and returned info back to TOPS
  5. If the info is acceptable, click the 'Keep Selected' button to populate that info into the appropriate fields
