Reports not opening in Excel upon download


Microsoft pushed out an automatic security update to their Office product that blocks spreadsheets from automatically opening as a result of a webpage.


There is a fairly easy fix to it. You have to add http://www.towxchange.net to your trusted sites. Here’s how:

Bring up Edge (even if you use a different browser) click on Settings, Internet Options, Security, Trusted Sites, Sites, and add this website:


https://*.towxchange.net


Click Close, Apply and OK, and then close all of your browsers. Open your Browser back up and try running the reports again.

In some cases you have to click ‘Save’ the first time it opens and asks you what you want to do, but it opens from then on.
